Weebly is a great website builder choice because it makes it super easy and cheap to create a site.

But having an awesome website is not enough to run a successful business and you know that. That’s why you are here.

Website Conversion Rate Optimization is, without a doubt, one of the most important marketing actions you can take to quickly improve your Return of Investment (ROI), bettering the performance of your campaigns.

Because, let’s be real here, you can do all the Facebook and Google Ads campaigns you want, but if your landing page is not optimized for conversions, you are just wasting money.

But don’t worry. Here is a step-by-step on how to optimize your landing page for conversions, using A/B testing as your main tool.

Now,

What is A/B testing?

If you go to Google right now and search for “Landing Page Conversion Rate Optimization Tips”, I can assure you that EVERY blog post you click on will talk to you, one way or another, about the importance of testing your landing page.

The thing is that it has proven to be one of the most efficient ways of improving conversions.

A/B testing on landing pages is the practice of creating two or more variants of the same page (changing design and/or content), splitting the traffic between them, and measuring which of them converts the most.

This is a very practical way of turning hypotheses into reality.

I know, it’s awesome, right?

So, here is how you can do it yourself, using the easiest tool for Landing Page A/B testing: ABtesting.ai.

Step 1: Insert URL

In ABtesting.ai we use Artificial Intelligence to solve every pain point the traditional A/B testing process has.

That’s why you are able to create a full experiment in just 10 minutes.

The first step of this process is to paste the url of the landing page you want to test here:

Or in the box at our homepage:

This will start a wizard that will guide you through all the setup.

In this step, the AI is going to the URL you introduced and it’s fetching all the main elements: Headline, Copy, CTA, and Hero Image. This way, you don’t lose time testing things that won’t have a great impact on your Conversion Rate.

Step 2: Create Variations

After everything has been automatically fetched, the tool will give you text suggestions using GPT-3.

We use it to save you time and effort in the creative step. Copywriting is no joke. GPT-3 takes the spot of a creative partner that helps you think and write different and effective approaches for your content.

You can edit the suggestions, erase them and even create your own texts.

Some tips I can give you for your writing conversion-focused content would be:

  • Know your target: Depending on who you are talking to, how you are going to present yourself and your value proposition.

  • Talk about your features as benefits: Once you know who your audience is, try to phrase your features as the benefits that talk to them the most. Features are elements. Benefits are value.

  • Format your text for an easy skim, using bullet points, headings, subheadings, avoiding big chunks of text.

  • Speak directly to the visitor, in an active voice: "Monkeys adore bananas", over "Bananas are adored by monkeys". Be direct.

  • Scarcity and time limit: Adding texts and elements that make the user understand that there's a scarcity or a time limit works well. This is commonly used by dropshippers. The typical countdown clock for a certain offer.

Now, circling back to creating the variants, you’ll be able to set different colors for your buttons, and search for high quality images in our image bank.

If you feel like testing something different than the elements that have been automatically fetched, you can also select them manually by clicking on Fetch more elements.

Once you have all your changes ready to go, click on Next.

Step 3: Choose Conversion Goal

There are three ways of choosing the conversion event:

Letting the AI do it for you: ABtestting.ai will try to fetch your conversion goal automatically. It usually is a contact form. If it’s not able to fetch any conversion goal, it’ll select clicks on the landing page buttons as conversion events.

Target URL: You can paste a URL to select it as the conversion event. For example, the “Thank you” page on an e-commerce website.

Manual: This one is the less recommended one. By coding, you will need to manually call the code shown there.

Once you selected the conversion event, click Next.

Step 4: Integrate

This step is necessary to allow the tool to run the experiment on your site.

There is nothing to fear here. It's way easier than it looks.

For the integration, you’ll need to copy the snippet shown there and paste it into the Header Code section of your website.

For pasting it in the right place, go to Settings>SEO>Header Code.

Step 5 - Overview

You made it! The test is now running.

ABtesting.ai has automatically created all the variations that will be tested against the original on this first batch.

You have to know that we use a Multi-armed Bandit testing approach, which relies on smart traffic allocation.

This means that the AI can quickly understand which variation is working better than the others and drive more traffic to them, compensating for the conversion loss of the under-performers.

This way, you won't lose conversions while testing, and your test will end quicker.

Also, we use Evolutionary Algorithm for re-testing.

This means that the AI will learn from the results of the previous experiment to create new, better-performing combinations of the elements you provided, and will run them against the winner of the previous experiment.

This way, it will continue to improve your conversions on every new batch.

That’s all you need to know to run your first experiment on your Weebly site.
